Nicely put! I was still in high school when I got suckered in (and I mean that with affection). Ended up going to the CIA and lived and breathed it for 20 years.

I am now out of it, working 9-5 weekends off etc like you, but you know sometimes I do miss it. Will I ever go back, I hope not!

Well-done! I enjoyed reading this piece. It gives the reader a really good idea of who you are, what's important, and how you feel about the restaurant business.

Keep writing!!

Your story has some similarities to my restaurant business life. Although most of my time was in the back of the house as a chef, I did end up in the dining room eventually and finally managing all aspects of the business.

I enjoyed this article very much. It gives me a new perspective on restaurants and what goes into all the preperation for the meals that are served.
