Spoke with someone who grew up in a farm in Northern Ontario and he when he was growing up in the 40s and 50s he said they were all trained to get away from funny-looking tomatoes. Simple. But, it's probably better to eat the non-organic apple sometimes than to stress about pesticides if you can't find organic. Stressing about it will make your hair fall out!
