Peace out, cupcakes. Peace out, macaroons. Peace out, whoopie pies.
The next big trend: alfajores, traditional cookies found in Peru and other South American countries. These are made by Mistti, an up-and-coming Latino-owned and -inspired gourmet bakery, laced with dulce de leche, chocolate, pecans…amazing doesn’t begin to describe them.
