Cape Fear Brew: TidBit of the Day

Cape Fear Dragon Boat Festival 2011
After a hard-fought race at the Cape Fear Dragon Boat Festival 2011, our wet, tired, jubilant, newly-formed team celebrated our first competition and a fast race at the wonderful Front Street Brewery in Wilmington, NC. Great brew, great Southern food.

Happy hour appetizers were half off, and while this was pub food, it was pub food raised several notches. Homemade potato chips…good southern food…like this shrimp and grits. I’m picky about my shrimp and grits. And these guys know shrimp and grits.

The atmosphere is low-key, and the service is fantastic – our waitress deftly handled our rowdy group. If you’re down here for the beach this summer, definitely stop by!
