Kinderkookkafe, Amsterdam: Class Act

| April 20, 2012 | 2 Comments

Kinderkookkafe, located in Amsterdam, is a place for children (and wish for adults, too). There are individual cooking classes. children’s parties, and a little restaurant. The great thing? Kids have to do all the cooking and serving! Yup, that includes some cleaning, “bar”tending, cashier-tending, and menu design.

From learning how to use organic vegetables from the garden to making cakes, children get to experience nutrition and healthy foods…while their parents can relax with a cup of tea and watch (and get their food served!)

The attention placed on fresh ingredients, culture, and cooking techniques not only enhances children’s understanding of the world, but also their social skills and enjoyment of food.

  1. I totally love this concept. I’m looking for summer camps for my kids and none of them has this kind of cooking classes. I’d immediately sign up if I find these classes. Too bad…

  2. This place sounds like so much fun for kids!
