What is your favorite thing to drink? Chances are if you ask someone this question they won’t answer with “water.”
There are many tasty drinks that are pretty good to drink every once in a while but we need to make sure we get enough water every day in order to stay hydrated and keep our bodies moving properly. One thing I hear from a lot of people is that they can’t drink water because it has no flavor and sometimes they just need something with some flavor. I am here to tell you that water can have flavor and here is how:
Adding fruits and veggies to your water!!
Fruit/Veggie infused water not only tastes good but it has a lot of good things that your body needs. Drinking adequate water helps keep your body running smoothly and is very important for your health. Especially in hot summers, it is important that we stay hydrated and replenish the electrolytes that are lost in sweating and other bodily functions. Flavored water can also help replenish electrolytes that are found in the fruits and veggies you use.
Another good thing about flavored water is that you do not need to worry about fake sweeteners or extra sugar in your drink. Flavored waters may not be as sweet as you are used to but the good thing is that you can use any fruits or veggies and so you can make it how you like it.
Lastly, flavored water is very easy to make! All you need to do is get a big water bottle and whichever fruits and veggies you want.
Cut up the fruits and veggies and put them in the container and fill it with water. Put it in the fridge and let it sit for a couple hours or overnight before drinking. The longer it sits the more flavor it will have. Also, once you finish the water you can always eat the fruit or refill it and make more flavored water!
